Re: recompiling a script file

Thanks for explaining this. I remember someone giving the same advice not
long ago, now. But I have a little problem: At the time the message
appeared, I was in the middle of doing something else on the computer--
actually, a friend was reinstalling a scanner driver that had gone bad
somehow so that I couldn't use Open Book-- and I had to memorize the script
filename so I could deal with this issue later.

But although I know the filenames of the scripts in this group, I don't
remember, if I ever knew, what program they're for. I think I heard the
message say something about Internet Explorer, or maybe that was the thing I
opened in Script Manager, but none of it makes sense to me, first because I
don't remember ever having deliberately installed any script files for IE at
all, and then because I could swear it said the script was for version 5 or
45.5, and it's IE 6 that's on this computer.

If I told you the filename, might you or anyone else able to recognize what
program it's related to?

Here's the particular file that's supposed to be recompiled:

SHDOCLC.jsb

Thanks. I'm pretty confused about this.

Heree is a more direct way to reecompile scripts. Open the program that
needs script compiling. Then prees insert 0 on the number row. Then press
control s to recompile. Press alt f4 to close. I can't remember if you get a
message asking you to confirm to save thee change, if you do just press
enter on yes.
