?Well, if you have openbook version 8 or lower, the voices that openbook brings
are scansoft. a/Also, you can try Ivona, or neospeach. But you will need to pay
for them. If you want though to use the voices just for jaws and openbook, you
can download the solo direct voices on the freedom scientific's website for
free.

The scansoft voices (real speak only) work with all aspects of a normal
computer. Now, the real speak solo direct voices--which in my opinion sound a
bit better than the scansoft, real speak voices, and they are more responsive--
only work with FS products like jaws version 12, magic version 11 and openbook
9.

those voices only work with jaws or other fs products. you'll have to either
get a cd that came with jaws 8/9 or buy those voices.
