RE: reading prior or next line without moving pc cursor

This is correct but the goal is to be able to read with out moving the
insertion point.

This may have been said earlier in the thread but all I have to do is press
the up or down arrow to read the preceeding line or the next line.  If I
have to edit anything on either of these two lines I simply use the control
plus left or right arrow.  Judith
