I have that set the way I always do, with no punctuation, and the
punctuation marks have always been spoken while typing, just not while
reading. So unless it has never worked right before that isn't my problem.

Troy,

I am using JAWS version 7.00, but I would assume that it is the same.

Go to the JAWS screen, insert J.

Select the menu and cursor down to voices, press enter.

Select global voices if not already selected and press enter.

Tab to the punctuation dialog box and select the amount of punctuation that
you desire with the up and down arrows.

Tab out saving your changes.

Good luck!

Marvin
