They didn't say anything because I discovered this after I hung up with them. I need sighted help with this on the phone and I didn't have any.

Hi, I called FS, and they did help me out a bit. Jaws will read menus now, or at least most. There are still problems though. When I go into Windows Media Player 10, Jaws won't read anything, and it's the same with Windows Explorers.

Hi I don't know anything about the screen resolution, but the operating system is Win XP home edition. It happens all the time. I haven't been able to use it at all because of not knowing what program I'm going into. It just won't read it.

Hi list,
I just installed JFW 9.0 on my laptop, and although it's installed as a demo for the time being, it won't read menus. I can press alt f or whatever and jaws won't read the list of options in the menu.
I had ordered jaws 7.1 standard, but I found out after I installed it that they sent me jaws9.0 and I don't know if it's standard or professional. I asked for the standard version.
I got the laptop because I'm leaving next week for the Carol Center and wanted something to do when I'm not in class. I don't know how to fix this.
