Margaret, I am using Outlook Express and, yes, my status bar is checked. Thanks, Judith

Judith,

Is the check box for status bar checked? Go to the view menu with
alt V. Then press L for layout. Tab and
make sure "status bar" is checked. Then enter for okay.

The properties of your post show you are using Outlook Express 6,
but you said Outlook, could you clarify to help prevent confusion?

Margaret

I had this problem before where the outlook status bar gives me the day of the week instead of the number of read and unread messages in my inbox. A few weeks ago it just slipped back into place, whatever that means. Now it is back giving me the day of the week. I went to views, unchecked the views bar and the outlook bar. I pressed OK and was still getting the day of the week when I pressed insert 3 on the numb pad. Is there a way to get the outlook status bar to give me the proper information? Thanks, Judith
