Try going to Jaws help by holding the alt key while clicking the tab key
multiple times until you here the word Jaws.

Press the f1key

Press the letter p

This should take you to where Jaws reads, Popular applications With Jaws
book closed. These are programs that are compatible with your version of
Jaws.

Press enter

Press the letter m until you get to Microsoft applications book closed.

Press enter

Push the down arrow to read the applications.

It appears that mine is compatible with Word 95 and 97 and Office 2000. Word
was apparently sold separately in the 90's.

As I arrowed down thru my application choices I only found one reference to
Office and that was, something like Microsoft Clipboard office 2000.

You might let me know what yours reads as I have a different version of Jaws
than you do.

I am using XP Home Edition, Jaws 5.1 and office 2000.

Below is a copy of an IM conversation with my wife, pertaining to this
subject.

Gail,

Isn't Word a part of the Office program and not sold separately?

Gail says:

I bought an older version of Word as a separate program, I think Word 97,
but since then it's been a part of MS Office.
