Hi,

It's really a preference thing as far as I am concerned. I use a DECtalk and
really love it! But there's other people that hate
DECtalk.

Matthew

Subject: off topic a little, about decktalk

Hey all,
I've never used the decktalk program, but I have heard it through friends.
If any of you use it, or have used it. Could you tell me what is so great
about that program?
The speech synthesizer sounds really outdated. So, with Jaws being as advanced
as it is, why would someone use decktalk today. Or
is it just a preference. I've also heard that Decktalk costs around $1200,
while Jaws is around $900.
I'm just curious. Jack
