no speech for drop-down menu lists

Hi,
I have Jaws 5.1 on a Windows XP system and don't get any speech feedback
while I navigate drop-down menus in HJ Pad or Outlook Express. Jaws will
sometimes say the name of the menu but then stops talking once I arrow
through the drop-down list. Jaws is set to speak all in my Basics settings.
Are there any other settings that need to be changed? It seems odd that
Jaws doesn't speak when the drop-down menus are open in HJ Pad.
