I actually did that on my own, but the older versions of jfw work fine, it's
just that one and as I said, if I don't use eloquence, it seems to work even
with 7.1. I don't know what changed there but there's something wrong. My
computer's nothing special, I'm sure I can't be the only one having this
issue.

What a drag John. Sorry you are having so much trouble.
I wonder. Did tech support suggest that you remove all versions of Jaws
including shared components? That gives you a fresh install of Jaws.
It's a drag that there isn't a way to easily remove and reinstall Outlook
Express.

Subject: new jfw update and OE problem
Block quote start
Well, the new jfw update is out, but for me, the OE problem remains, every
single time I close the program, gone is jaws. Some times I can play and get
it back but some times it's a very serious crash. How ever, and I'd like to
see others who are having this same problem's input on this, if I'm not
using
eloquence, it doesn't seem to do it. It won't crash unless I open an email
or a few emails, but with SAPI, I played with it for almost an hour, exiting
out of it about 25 times with not a crash so I'm curious if anyone else
finds the same thing. I never setup double talk software with jfw 7.1 yet
but I'll
work on that when I have time and might even copy the eloquence files over
form an older version and see if I can fix it that way though FS is working
with me on this one so I might wait on the main computer. I would like input
though from anyone else who has this problem, or who uses other synths and
hasn't had any problems who might be willing to switch over for a little
while and try it for me.
