RE: new adobe reader version

I've gotten that same message with Adobe reader 8. When I got the first
time, I wondered what was going on as well. Then a friend told me it was an
image file. I think Ray is right.

I, perhaps stupidly, downloaded the newest version of Adobe reader, version
9, I think. 
    Now when I try to read a pdf document, I get the message alert: empty
document. 
What's going on? How can I fix this?
