Judith,

Word wrap is a general formatting function of all word processing and text
editing programs, not just Word. It's actually what makes it possible, when
typing on a computer, to simply keep typing until you wish to end one
paragraph and begin another, as opposed to the old typewriter convention of
having to press what we now refer to as the Enter key, formerly known as the
Return key on an electrric typewriter, or, on an older manual typewriter,
throw the carriage return lever in order to get back to the left side of the
page again when you've typed a line as far as the right margin.

Word wrap can be personally set to create wider or narrower text as your
typing approaches the right side of the text editor screen, but for most
programs such as word or NotePad, the default setting is what most people
use without ever thinking about changing it.

However, this function can sometimes create problems for Jaws, if it's set
to certain kinds of parameters in certain environments. So that's why the
term "wrap" has come up in this discussion.

Hope this helps.
Daniel

Juith: Wrap is a command in Word to say whether you wish to go to the next
line. I hope this clears up your question.
