Hi, I use the outlook 2003 calendor just like you with jaws 8. When I am in day view. When I go to calendar, it says the date. Then if I errow left or right it will say the next day or previous day and if there are any appointments it will say for example 2 appointmentws. At this point I hit tab and it announces the first appointment and time of that appointment. Hit tab again and it announces the next appointment and time, and hit tab again and it says day view and date and two appointments. You can go backwords sby doing shift tab. Now when you tab to an appointment and it is announced you can type in that space or hit enter and you go to the appointment page which you use to fill out a new appointment. On this page all the info is filled out and you can change anything there you would like and then hit the save and close button to make changes. hth -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jim.Denham@xxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, June 01, 2007 8:24 To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: multiple appointments in Outlook calendar All: I am wondering if any of you have come across this issue and figured a way around it that I am not finding. I have recently started using the calendar portion of Outlook 2003 much more extensively. I am running latest version of JAWS 8. When using the day view, The calendar reads fine as long as their is only one appointment per day. I can move to the day, press tab once and hear the appointment scheduled for that particular day. I can then press tab again to return to the day view. Moving to a day that contains multiple appointments however, creates a bit of a problem. Pressing tab on these days will usually cause JAWS to read the first appointment scheduled for that day. According to help text, at this point I should be able to press tab a second time and hear the next appointment scheduled for this day. This does not work and often I hear the entire day being read half hour by half hour. It is also a bit tricky to move back to the day view in which left and right arrows go from day to day when this problem occurs. The help text also states these appointments are simply edit boxes and I should be able to use standard reading commands to read the text of the appointment. This also does not work. Am I missing something or is this just the way the Calendar cookie crumbles when using JAWS?
