I see that you too are having computer issues or at least that was my
understanding from a couple of your posts. Sure call me any time and if I’m
not there leave a message. We can plan ways to kill our computers. Sorry I
was trying to be funny I just get frustrated at times when things don’t work
the first time. Anyhow, regarding Skype I think I now have you as a
contact. For some reason it still says contact list 0 items; however, upon
exploring the screen up and down a few lines your name does appear and when
I try to re-add you it says you already are in my contact list. You asked
about giving you permission or something, I think I remember seeing that
screen somewhere but can not find it now. I downloaded the scripts that
seemed to pertain to Braille displays as Jim Grimsby claims that skype 3.2
and 3.5 should work with Jaws 5 just fine and as far as it goes it is
working. I’ll leave the msn issues til we chat.
My phone number is 604-948-3153. I have a phone card so I’ll give you that
number and code so you are not charged long distance. Here’s what to dial
in case you are unfamiliar with this.
1. First dial 1-866-2143665
2. 2. Wheen asked press 1 for English
3. 3. Enter the code which is 79631405147
4. At the prompt for my number dial 1-604-948-3153 as you would fir a
long distance number. If you have problems hearing the recording send me
your phone number and when the best time to call you is so I am not being a
disturbance and I know there is a time difference and all. Chat soon and

WOW you still having some problem here. You say that you are using jaws 5
that is the problem there.You need to upgrade your jaws ,you need jaws
7.0,7.1 and 8.0 ,because I have jaws 8.0 version and hav skype version 3.5
,yes I had to download jaws scripts for skype 3.5 I can send you the
website for jaws scripts for skype 3.5 for you if you want me to. I don't
use braille display ,because I can't read regular braille ,but I can read
jumbo braille.If you want to upgrade your jaws version to 7.0 or 8.0 you
can go on the website HYPERLINK

7.0 or 7.10 or 8.0 . I think your jaws 5 version is too low for msn and
skype.Can you hear on the phone good? If you can hear on the phone ,do you

Hi List:
I am having problems withboth skype and msn and right now am hating
computers with avengance. First my problem with msn; how can you start from
a clean slate as if you are reapplying? I uninstalled and reinstalled the
programme but it is still acting as if it is halway there. I guess I had
not finished the installation as I had no sighted person around to ask about
those letters or characters in the graphic that were to be entered so I quit
and was going to continue later. Now it just tells me my password is
incorrect or that I do not exist. I don’t have to reinstall Windows or
anything rash like that I hope. I clicked on that play audio button but
could not understand the characters properly. Now to my problems with
skype. I was having problems viewing the screen although I seem to have
sorted that out. How exactly are contacts entered and when entered how do
you find them? When I load skype it says contact list 0 items. When I go
to the call menu it simply lets me see that last number I’ve called not to
let me choose between supposed contacts I’ve entered. I tried to re-enter
the contacts and it said they were already entered. Also those of you who
used the scripts which ones did you download? There were a number of them
listed. I am using Jaws 5 with a powerbraille 40 braille display. I
appologise if you do not understand my questions I don’t understand them
myself at this point. Thanks in advance.
