Hi Jerry: Problems like this can be solved by changing the layout in the word view menu. Press alt-v to go to the view menu. The first option that you will hear is Normal. If it is not checked, press enter to check it and see if JAWS performs better. Another thing to do is maximize your window. Press alt-space bar to go into the system menu, tnen press X to maximize the screen. One more thing to try is unloading and re-loading JFW. Press insert-F4 to unload JAWS and when asked if you are sure you want to do that, press enter. Then, hold down the windows key and press M to go to the desktop, press j, then press enter and JAWS should come up. Hold down the alt key and press tab to get back into your MS Word window and see if things are working. Hope these ideas help.
