Sounds like a problem sometimes caused by the Norton Anti Virus program. If so the solution is to uncheck the MS Word plug in in Norton. Sometimes tricky to locate and requires using the Jaws cursor. If I remember correctly it is located in the Norton options menu.Tom----- Original Message ----- From: "Jerry Hathaway" <jerry.hathaway2@xxxxxxxxxxx>To: "JAWS LISTSERVE" <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, August 02, 2007 5:08 PM Subject: ms word helpI am having trouble with ms word and jaws. Jaws is not reading the line when I use the up and down arrow keys or the jaws read line function. Jaws does read the words when I use the ctrl right and left keys. I am using ms word XP 2002 version, jaws 8, and windows xp. If anybody know how to solve this issue please let me know. Thank you for your assistance in solving this problem.Jerry -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.comJFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfwIf you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, or the way the list is being run, do not post them to the list.
