Hi,
I've dealt with Mcafee on two machines recently and it's a pain in the butt. Frankly, I wouldn't mess with it if I were you. Go with Nod32 from 

www.eset.com
It's a great program, very easy on system resources and doesn't interfere with legitimate program installations and activations, which is more than I can say for Mcafee.

Let's say that one can _get_ it to work but it is not easy and the is both 
a lot of Jaws cursoring and cursing--if one is so inclined.
