Yes you do in this case, Jaws causes a crash in the user interface for AVG.

this may be a crazy question fut do you still have to turn jaws off if you 
are using 2 soundcards. i find that i don't have a lot of these issues 
because jaws isn't coming out of the primary soundcard.
