laptop question

Hi everyone,
I have a question about jaws and a laptop. I have a dell inspiron 1525 laptop
with windows xp and jaws 10. Which sound card should I use with jaws? Under the
sound cards menu, I have windows default sound card and sigmitell audio.
Is there any way to adjust the volume using the keyboard. Jaws does not tell me
when I hit one of the touch buttons located above the keyboard.
