hmm interesting stuff, enough to confuse anybody.

first of all del and gateway offer excellent products, secondly like most
computer manufactures they have differant quality of computers.

del or gate way does not offer just one line of products, they offer many,
and if you buy a bottom of the line del your more apt to have problems than
if you get a middle of the road or a corporate model.

so if its all integrated with a 200 watt power supply then its probably
more apt to break than a model with a 300 watt power supply which has
seperate cards for added expansion.

about building them your self and corporations buying from del.

when corporations buy from del they have the option of getting standard
size components and not the custom size mother boards the end user gets.

by the way about my video card suggestion, buying A T I was mot maid
because i think its the best for jfw, no maid that because its going to be
most compatible with other cards added to ones system.

in addition if you look at all the tech bulletines from freedom scientific
most of the video card issues between jfw and video cards occurred when the
computer manufacture modified the video card driver in some way.

this happens most often with notebooks.
[ so if buying notebook make sure you can send it back with no financial
penalty. ]

so here is an example, A T I sells chip sets too third party s like asus,
so asus provides the driver.

some minor modification to the driver could cause a problem to jfw or
another driver in your system.

lets say it effects the sound blaster for the sake of argument.

if their is a bug who is more apt to get fixed first, the original A t i
card who has the lion share of the market or a brand with less than one
percent of the market.

in above example creative will fix the bug for A t i first.

in addition the bigger player is most apt to be tested by freedom
scientific in the first place.

my suggestion not to get t v out is due to the fact some have an issue with
it and to be honest see no reason to use t v out nor do any of my sighted
friends use that feature.

so avoid the problem by avoiding the feature in the first place.

True not all users will encounter it who have t v out but some will.

so why risk the chance if you do not have to.

their is an easy fix if you do have the issue.

one other thing cards with out t v out are also cheaper but have to admit
their getting harder to find.
