Anna,

You can uninstall the previous version first or not. Any new version 
should (key word being should) uninstall the old version first 
automatically. To be safest, you'll want to uninstall the old version by 
hand, close all copies of IE, and then install the new version.

I've seen a problem where the installer will complain about not being 
able to write the new client.exe file to disk. If this happens, choose 
retry from the dialog that pops up. If the previews aren't working after 
installation, just try installing it again. Pressing retry should make 
the installation complete successfully, but it appears that it doesn't 
under all circumstances.
