jaws speeding up

Hi,

I've got another mirc question.  When I open mirc, jaws starts speaking
*incredibley* fast!  I can't seem to slow it down-any ideas?  When I alt tab
out of the mirc window, jfw returns to it's regular rate..  Is there some
setting for jaws from within mirc I need to adjust?

I gave up on the mirc scripts and went back to using jfw with ms agent.
