What is the proper setting for this option? Now that I've fooled around with
it, I can't remember what it was set on originally...and since I'm not having
any trouble with it, I figured I should probably leave it where it was!
  Thanks.

    Bill,

The choices are "off" "on", "Off for all applications", and "on for all
applications".

Pressing JAWS+Z quickly brings up the ...for all applications, and pressing
JAWS+Z singly brings up on/off.

    "On" implies auto.

Hi, Robert. I just tried depressing Jaws Key +Z three times, and I
didn't get any auto mode. All it said was, either: Vertual Cursor will be
turned on for all applications, or alternately: Vertual Cursor will be turned
off for all applications. How do you get to this auto mode?

      Thank you in advance.

I recently discovered it. If you hit it a third time, at least with
version 10 it turns on an auto mode and this seems to work.

What's insert z? I know it toggles virtual pc cursor on and off, but
what does that mean? Which way should it be, on or off?
What else can insert z be used forbe used for?
          Thanks.

I've had this problem. I fixed it by pressing insert z several
times.

I ran into an issue today that I've never seen before. At my
college the computers that have jaws on them (jaws 9) would not read webpages.
When I loaded the internet it would read the web address, but when I arrowed or
tabbed to navigate the site, jaws would read absolutely nothing even though
sighted people said the page was moving. The cursor was in the right location,
and nothing if a link was clicked with the mouse. It either read nothing at
all, or it kept repeating "open parent document" whenever I hit the arrow key
to navigate the site. It did this on all webpages, but in no other application.

I am curious if anyone knows what is going on, and how I can fix
this so I can use the internet. I had no problem prior to today, and the jaws
hasn't been upgraded.

Its using internet explorer and windows xp.

              Thanks, Ben
