Are you saying that if you hold the shift and press a jaws commands,
say, insert 8 the command will work? I tried it and it did not work for
me.

Jaws works fine with numlock turned on. You just can't use the numpad
for jaws functions without holding down the shift key. Jonnie apple
seed. My numlock is already turned off by jaws or by default I don't
know which.
