Another suggestion is o use internet explorer. Often, putting ftp:// bfore the address in the address bar, open dialog or the run dialog will provide access. You can even do this with password protected accounts although the string for doing it is not streight forward. It works well for anonymous ftp though which I suspect is what you will be doing. Once there, jaws reads the information as though it were a web page. There are other programs that are nice in fact, One I think it was cute ftp that I used would download the read me and open it up in note pad automatically if it was a text file. ----- Original Message ----- From: "ashish" <ashish_rohtagi@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <JFWlite@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Cc: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, January 26, 2004 5:52 PM Subject: jaws and ftp cliant hello friends, I want to download some books from a ftp site, one of my friend told me that I need an ftp client, I no nothing about this, can you guide me please? is this ftp client accessible with jaws? where can I get it? is it easy to use? thanks -- To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line. -- To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
