Re: jaws 5 and power point

mary,

It's a pretty streight forward process to step through and view slides in
power point provided there is actual text and not an image of text in the
slide. To do this, launch the .ppt file from your hard drive which opens in
powerpoint. There are two paynes that are toggled via f6. One has the
slides list and the other will show the content of the slide you are in.
arrow to the slide you want, press f6 and read the slide. I am a bit veauge
right now though on whether you have to press enter on the slide in the list
but there is help for you if you press ins+f1 while the document is open.
ins+h will also give you a bit of assistance. I don't have a powerpoint
document to play with right now so cannot provide more specific info, but
let me know if you need further help and I'll work on this. I'm sure
someone else will have more precise info but just in case...

Subject: jaws 5 and power point

Hi folks,
I have never had to look at power point slides in my life, but I just got
asked if I would look over a presentation using JFW to see if its
accessible. Can somebody please tell me how you're suppose to use JFW with
Power Point or tell me where I can find this info quickly? Thanks in
advance.
Mary
