Mike,

Then it's likely that if you used Advanced verbosity instead you would not hear
it. Give it a try.

I find that Beginner speaks way too much chatter, and Intermediate is
questionable.

  Hi Dave;

  I have my verboscity set at beginner highest. In the settings center
verboscity preferences, I only have control descriptions & tool tips turned
off. If I turn focus loss announcement off, IJaws will announce 100% just
about every time I open a different folder, and this is whetther the messages
have been read or not. This is consistent on 3 desktop & 1 laptop computers
running XP Home & Xp Pro. Oh, I also have the progress bar spoken but, haven't
played around with turning that off. Take care.
  Mike

    Mike,

    I find it interesting, that I don't get the 100% announcement,whether the
focus loss announcement is on or off.

    Also I do not hear 100% regardless of the setting of progress bar
announcements, either.

    And I have some folders that have over 32,000 messages.

    I wonder if Shannon has verbosity set to Beginner, whereas I have mine set
to Advanced? There may be a tool tip, smart message, help message, or JAWS
message that's being invoked.

      Hi Shannon & the rest of the list;

      Please excuse me, I totally screwed up! The focus loss announcement in
Jaws options should be turned on, I repeat, turned on, to stop Jaws from
announcing 100% when switching folders in OE. Hope this helps and again, I'm
sorry about the mistake in my previous post. Take care.

        Mike, I checked and it is turned off. I don't have many posts in OE, I
try to keep it cleaned up. Any more suggestions would be great.

          Hi Shannon;

          If you turn the " focus loss announcement" off, you won't hear Jaws
say 100% every time you switch folders. To do this, press jaws key + V, for
Jaws options, press the letter " F " until you land on focus loss announcement,
1 press of the F key should do it, press the spacebar until you hear Jaws say
focus loss announcement is off, and press enter to save your changes. Hope
this helps.  Take care.

            I just installed jaws 12. When I am in outlook express reading down
the names of my folders jaws announces the number of messages in each folders
as it should but it also says 100% on each folder. This also occurred with jaws
11 but I preferred to use jaws 10 anyway so it wasn't a problem. Has anyone had
this problem? If so could you let me know how to correct it? Thanks!
            Shannon
