The command is not gone it has been changed but I can't think of the new
command off the top of my head. But if you check the help menu for jaws 11
in the what's new section you will find the new key.

Sounds like something they should have kept around; any idea where they
put it now? I'm afraid scripting has been on my "things I'd like to
know more about" list for a long time and , yes, I've used the manual.

Subject: jaws 10 command question

Can anyone say .... what is the JAWS command in JAWS 10. when you use
the
Keyboard combination of JAWS key plus Spacebar?

I am using latest JAWS 11 on one machine still have version 10 on the
other.
On my version 10 when I press JAWS key and Spacebar, JAWS just says ON
or
OFF.
But I am not sure what I am turning on and off.

I had only recently learned of the JAWS 11 feature by posts on this
list.
Thanks!

In my machine with JAWS 11 the layered mode with the 2 boynk boynk sound
indication works, to tell me layered mode is On or Off..
Then I have the choices of letter R for Research It or S to turn on and
off
the Speech.

Thanks.
Rik
