Hello Peter:
This is a subject that I have raised with Eric Damery on many occasions over
the years
His reply has been, that they have to concentrate on supporting the most
popular software that are used by the majority of users.
If Freedom Scientific do not have enough script writers in-house to create
scripts for "account management" software, for example, there are enough
script writers out there, who they have trained or, who have learned the
script language themselves, who are more than capable of writing the scripts
for such programs.
So, one has to ask, why do they not sub-contract some of those script
writers to write the scripts they cannot handle in-house for such software.
They cannot use the excuse that it would "cost too much money", as the
expense can be used as a tax deduction under the heading "part of doing
business" expenses.
It is not as if they do not know that a number of their customers, who are
JAWS users, are business people, for whom, providing such scripts, would be
of enormous benefit.
