help in Internet Explorer

Hi gang:
a friend of mine is having serious slowdowns on the IRS site using Jaws
five.
He will type in a search term in the find dialog and the system will freeze
or move incredibly sluggishly and not find anything. Anybody have any
suggestions as to how to make this problem go away.
