Hi Sugar;
Those steps I gave you earlier won't work. I need to re-write the steps
specifically for copying music files to a CD. I am truly sorry for any
inconvenience that I have caused you or anyone else who was going to try
these steps I posted. I hope my apologies are accepted. I, by by no means
want to give out incorrect information. Take care.
Mike

Hi Dave;
You are correct. She is wanting to copy music files and burn them to a CD.
That is why I suggested that she * try * the steps to see how they would
work. I thought I had used these steps quite some time ago to do the same
thing that Sugar is doing. If I have given wrong information I am truly
sorry. I'm going to try these steps right now ,which is what I should have
done in the first place to make sure they work. Sugar, if I have given you
wrong info, I do apologize.

Mike,
These instructions sound like saving data to a CD for backup purposes. I
thought Sugars was asking how to make a music CD to play on an audio system.

Hi Sugar;
Try the steps below, except select music files instead of documents.
Backing Up Files To A CD
Open My Documents.
Select the files to back up
Ctrl + C to copy files
Alt + F for file menu
Arrow down to Send to
Press Enter
Arrow to CD-RW
Press Enter
Open CD drive/tray
Place CD label side up, close CD tray
CD Drive dialog box will open
Arrow to Open writable CD folder
Press Enter
Alt + F for file menu
Arrow to Write these files to CD
Press Enter
CD Writing Wizard will open
Type New CD name then Press Enter
Files will transfer to CD
The CD tray will open when finished
Remove CD and close the CD tray
Alt F4 to close CD drive window
Hope this helps. Take care.
