There are many ways to accomplish burning a cd/dvd that are free and
easy. Use of Real Player and Windows Media among them. Just because
one person has an occasional problem does not mean the product as a
whole should be trashed. I know many people use Nero easily. I've had
little luck getting it to work for me. I can use Easy CD Creater 4, 5
or 6, while others may have not clue.

I guess I don't like to discourage anyone from trying something that may
work for them, even if it doesn't for me.

There's a lot that's not accessible with that program, though.
Believe it or not, I took a call from a JFW user at work who's problem
was just that Real Player was throwing an error message at him that JAWS
wouldn't read without some fiddling. Personally, I'll use... just about
anything else.
