Hmm. I didn't know that about the FS Reader. It seems ridiculous to me for
anyone to manufacture a daisy reader for sale in the U.S. that can not
access rfb&d and NLS material right out of the box. I can't think of two
sources of books that are more frequented by blind users. At least, not in
the States. Glad its being included with Jaws 11 then.

I wonder if the free daisy reader is being included because it just wasn't
selling. I own a victor stream, and had no interest in buying the freedom
product in addition.. Even before I owned a stream, when I discovered the
freedom scientific daisy player wouldn't be able to play nls books, I wrote
the product off: after all, bookshare gave away a player with their service,
and if you were going to use rfb&d, it was cheaper to buy a player through
them than to buy a third party, and then have to buy a key.
Just my unasked for speculation.

The little I can tell you is this.

1. JAWS 11 will officially support Windows 7.

2. The FS Daisy reader witch used to cost $79.00 or so will be fully
included with JAWS 11. In short, if you get JAWS 11, you will not have the
demo version of FS Daisy reader; rather, the full version. That's all I
know for now.

The Constantly BAREFOOTED Ray
