Okay, Ted. I'm writing a couple of words here, as if as a P.S. to my
message, below, and I'm forwarding this to the list instead of just hitting
reply. Now to see if it posts with the return address of the listserv....

Hi,

I'd just like to say that I'm not sure if the person who signed this Ted is
the same Ted as the one below this message. The From line is confusing,
because it refers only to the mailing list's listserv, not to a person. I
don't know how someone can create a thing like that, but I've never figured
out who this is.

So, are you the same Ted as the Ted whose message you appear to be
responding to? thanks. Just trying to get it straight.

As I raised the point initially, I thought I owed the group an update.
I indicated last Friday that I feared the tendency toward crashing while
manipulating Web-based apps had carried over to JFW 8. Well, I humbly
(even gratefully) eat crow, because it certainly looks as if I was
wrong. There was a small glitch while using our MMIS system that
particular day, something I've seen happen probably fewer than five
times in more than 10 years. However, I have yet to see JFW crash while
using our Harmony system, the primary app that had been giving me fits.
This is especially good news, because, as I hinted the other day, our
new MMIS system will also be Web-based.

It makes me wish I'd updated the office copy of JFW more regularly.
This improvement may go back further than the latest release. I told FS
yesterday, and will repeat it now--guys, ya done good!

That's cool, but not in the least related to the problem. The problem,
as stated earlier, is that JFW has a tendency to crash when working in
and around Web-based applications (yes, Virginia, the new release does
it too). This is similar to, and yet very different from, filling in a
simple online form. Of course, one cannot use a virtual cursor,
necessitating a custom setting for each site, which usually works pretty
well.

A typical instance might involve highlighting and opening a call record,
checking it out in my name, reading the notes with the JAWS cursor,
investigating and correcting the problem, documenting the resolution and
adding the notes (two separate steps), rerouting the call back to its
queue of origin, saving and checking the file back into that queue
(here's where the process usually breaks down).

FS is aware of the problem, but has no idea what causes it.

Hi, The Kurzwiel 1000-v-11 is a OCR reader program the you use with your

scanner to read printed material and thing on your computer. What I mean
is
you could take one of your app. and rum it throw the Kurzwiel 1000-v-11
and
it would line things up for you and also has a place for you to even
sine
your own name in your own hand writhing.. Well if you googole Kurzwiel
