Issuing a pagedown or pageup while JAWS is speaking will temporarily
change the rate of speech--it's supposed to. You just need to issue an
Insert-Escape to refresh the screen and return to your default rate of
speech.

HTH.

Take care....

Subject: fix for jaws speeding up

Hi,

I have found a fix that may help some. Sometimes if I page down in jaws
(any version), jaws speeds up real fast. I find if I unload jaws and
reload it, it will resume normal behavior.
