Hi, verchual find is a jaws thing also. Not sure what the miss
understanding here is. Verchual find is for internet explorer it allows =
the
searching of the verchal buffer. Jaws find is available from with in =
any
program and allows the searching of the screen and places your mouse =
pointer
on what it finds and activates the jaws cursor to allow you to review =
the
text around what was found. You can then if need be use the mouse =
buttons
to click on said item found. Hth=20

hi,
I didn't claim that one was better than the other. And also, this isn't =
a=20
case of there being two Windows methods for one function. the Control=20
Insert F is purely a Jaws thing. So this isn't a case of Windows =
providing=20
two or three ways to do something. I wasn't remarking on that in any =
way.=20
don't worry about it. Thank you for your interest. I'm sorry if =
anything=20
I have said was confusing.

thank you,
Daniel

There may be specific conditions where the Jaws find command, is more
useful, but since I have not specifically read up on it, or used the =
windows
command, I couldn't tell you. The same thing could be said of Windows in
general, why so many different ways of doing the same thing, when one =
way
should be sufficient. I was simply pointing out another option, not =
saying
one is better than the other, it's just a matter of user preference. =

Seriously? An alternative made available for no reason at all? Why?

Nothing specific, just an alternative.

Hi,
I know this myself, but the simple Control F has always served me for
finding anything on a Web page. What's the purpose of this =
Jaws-specific

Hello Listers,
I am trying to help a friend learn to use JAWS. One command I am unable =

a
word or phrase then have the cursor move to the first instance of that =
word
or phrase. Thanks
