Steph, The best pointer on ESword I can give you is to find another Bible program. Not that it is unusable with Jaws, but it is not fully functional, requires Jaws cursor for many things, and would be too much trouble to be your only Bible on PC--which is really to bad because it is one of the best free Bible programs around. I have tossed a few e-mails back and forth with the guy who wrote ESword and sent him much data on making programs accessible to screen readers, by his request, but he has made no changes in the program. I started working on some scripts to make ESword easily usable with Jaws, but have not found the time to get them finished. The online Bible works well with Jaws and there are scripts floating around BlindProgramming.Com and a couple of other sites for it. However, I think the newer versions are designed to work with screen readers and would not require scripts for optimal operation.
