error when closing AVG 8 after scan

This same thing used to happen to me with AVG 7.5. Free edition, I'm talking
about in both cases. The scan finishes, and I read through the report about
how it went, and then Jaws comes to a line where, if I locate the Close
button provided to click on at this point, I can focus on it and press my
left click button on the Num Pad to activate it.

But, just as used to happen with AVG 7.5, instead of properly closing AVG
down, the action produces an error report. The program will have to be shut
down and do I wish to send an error report.

so I send the error report, click on Close to finish that, and it's all
over. Now, I know my scan's been accomplished and everything's fine, but I'm
disconcerted that I can't close the program the way it seems to be offering
me to do, even though I should be able to do this with Jaws and my keyboard.
As I said, same thing happened at the end of the version 7.5 scan.

now, of course I know how to exit by just pressing Alt F4. This is what I
made a habit with using v. 7.5, and I guess it's okay. So it's not as if I'm
trapped or anything. But does anyone know why clicking on the Close button
just as I should be able to elicits a program crash/error report message
instead of just closing the scan and the program? Is there a way to do it
properly that I'm not aware of?

Again, I have no problem figuring out how to press Alt F4 if I wish to. I
would just like to know if there's something I'm doing wrong, or if this is
just something that only a set of nice scripts from our script masters
(hint, hint) could clean up, along with a few other awkward bits that result
from confronting this AVG Free Edition Version 8 interface with Jaws.

Thanks.
