Hi. JAWS isn't even a factor here. Remember, when you have an internet connection like cable, no other software is needed for it, so he only thing that changes is your speed on the net. JAWS would work exactly the same on broadband as it would on dial-up. So let's take JAWS out of the equasian here. If she's reluctant to go back, she sshouldn't. With so many things on the net becoming more audio and video related, you're going to want the fastest connection you can afford. I really think going back to dial-up would be the worst thing she would do in this case. I know I wouldn't do it.
