I'm running JAWS 9.0.2191U, the latest build with XP Pro on a three-year-old
Dell workstation with 2gb of RAM and a160gb hard drive. I had problems with
IE8 when I first installed it in 2008, but the bugs seem to have been resolved
since then.

Gerald,
While there are not just a few who may agree with your first statement on
FS's expertise, it appears that when David did downgrade to IE7, it resolved
the problem. What sub-revision of JAWS 9 are you using? I'm wondering if that,
or perhaps your overall system and OpSys environment may be the reason for your
success, and his lack thereof.

FS tech support doesn't know what it's talking about. I have been using
IE8 successfully with JAWS 9 for over a year.

Hi all,
Mr. Carlson was correct when he asked me about I.e. 8. I wrote to
Freedoms tech support and was told I.E 8. was not compatible with jfw 9.
I removed it and went back to seven and all is well.
Best,
