Hello there;

if your wanting to have the BCC field showing in Outlook Express,
do the following,

1, create new message,

2, use the keystroke, alt+b,
you now should see the BCC field.
or, you could,

1, new message,

2, alt+v=view,
make sure that all headers is checked.

well, to delete from your deleted folder in OE,

you can tab to the deleted folder message list view, now, ctrl+a=select
all,
and press the delete key.

if you want your deleted folder to empty after each time you close OE,
do the following,

1, alt+t=tools,

2, O=options,
or, from the main window in OE, just press,
ctrl+shift+o
this will take you right into the options.

3, now, shift+tab=general,

4, right arrow until you hear,
maintenance tab,

5, now tab,
you need to check the box that reads,
Empty messages from the 'Deleted Items' folder on exit

now, tab okay press enter.

hope this helps.

many thanks for replying. I reckon on mastering Ms outlook on my windows 7
machine by then, but the little laptop will tide me over for now. Mind
you
I have had a silly memory lapse I know how to empty the deleted folder in
Ms
outlook, but forgotten the way to do it in Outlook express which was very
easy, even the engineer did not know,he also said you cannot set Outlook
express to use Bcc,I remember you can, but his english is not so easy I
did
manage to make him work with Jaws speaking, and his every inclination was
to
put Jaws to sleep and move fast with the mouse, actually it does them
good
to listen to jaws, I am talking mainstream engineers here of course , I
cannot help wondering what jaws has in store for us later this
year, personally I just want what we have to work better, but the eternal
race
I fear is relentless dorothy

Outlook express is far more accesible but of course will not develop
further. Windows live is managable but more cumbersome to me.

  Subject: choosing email client

I do have windows 7 64 bit desktop and use Ms outlook or try to.
However
i kept my xp laptop and like to use Outlook express,, but since I had to
put
Office 7 on it as the original cd's were scratched, the engineer used my
copy
of office 7,ibought it for windows 7 but think I am allowed to use on 2
computers? Now as was explained by dave last weekthe snag is the spell
checker will only spell in french, and there is a choice either a tool such
as dave suggested,or I am told the microsoft website suggest windows
live,
I do not know a thing about windows live, but if some of you have used both
Outlook express and windows live, are they very different? Which do you
prefer, my laptop is xp and has Jaws 11 fully patched Dorothy Ps I am
finding ms outlook on windows 7 very hard I need simplicity for this
little
laptop thanks
