Hi Again, uninstalling and defragging the computer is *not* going to help with this. That isn't always the answer to every problem. Clearly, Joy's problem stems from the fact that the floppy disc containing the authorization for JAWS is corrupted. in other words, JAWS is installed and running as it should, it just can not be authorized by the floppy disc that she has. so she'll either have to 1 get a new floppy disc from FS 2 get a dongle from fs or 3, upgrade to JAWS 6 and bypass th other 2 options completely which would be my choice but I realize that it costs money to upgrade sometimes and she might not have the means to do so.
