William, Yes, you turn on JAWS speaking some of these special formatting marks in the options menu (JAWS+V). However you should also go to Tools/Options in MS-Word and in the display page, you can check several special items like paragraph marks that might normally be hidden. None of these will be impacted by the speak all setting. That is not the purpose of that setting. I also wanted those marks to appear only when the ShowAll button was pressed. I'll play with it a bit more. Let me know if I'm on the right track. I'm also trying to find a mark which keeps me from arrowing down through the full document. It seems it won't let me go past the first page while arrowing through for proofing. Also, will it read page breaks and paragraph marks outloud? ----- Original Message ----- From: Dave Carlson To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, July 12, 2010 12:01 AM Subject: Re: another question on word 2007 William, In the Tools/Options dialog, under display, do you have those items checked to be visible? Then do you have them enabled in the JAWS options (Insert+V)? Dave ----- Original Message ----- From: William Sallander To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, July 11, 2010 20:32 Subject: another question on word 2007 I've noticed when proofing a document in Word 2007, I can't seem to get JAWS to read the paragraph or manual page breaks. Even when I turn on ReadALL and set Word 2007 to draft mode, it still doesn't appear to work. I can read the space markers, but it seems that nothing else is spoken. Any hints?
