I'm running 7.1, but in my opinion it's more of a step back than a step
forward.

Had the same problem on the beta and reported it to FS and they told me they couldn't replicate the problems as usual.

Hi all! This didn't happen the first few times i ran outlook express with 7.1, but now, whenever I close OE, I lose speech entirely. I assume the jaws window is up, but I get no speech no matter what I press. Oddly enough, however, when I shut down the computer via key strokes, speech returns during the shut down process. This is a terrible inconvenience. I should not have to keep my OE window open all of the time in order to retain speech. It looks like another beta might have been a wise choice before releasing this version of jaws. Allison
