Jill, I'd say that in the four years I've been using Jaws and Outlook
Express, I've accumulated a couple hundred folders of email messages.
Roughly speaking, I've got a folder for each message rule I've set up. On
the high-volume lists, I've found that Outlook Express crashes if a folder
contains more than 14,000 messages, with the exception of the Sent Items
folder. So I try not to let my message folders get that big. When a folder
reaches 9500 or 9600 messages, I create an archive for that folder and move
half of those messages to the archive.
I hope this answers your first question.
