    did you put the .LOG in uppercase?  I think that is the only way it will 
work.

      HI,

      I use Notepad as my diary/daily log software.  

      If you create a file and place ".LOG" as the first line in the file then 
Notepad will automatically drop to the end of the file and insert the current 
date and time for you.  You could then type your subject and the rest of your 
entry.

      Very cheap and very simple and Jaws friendly.
