Daniel, FS doesn't give you as many choices in Lotus Symphony as in MS Word. With Word, you can have the spelling errors shown on the screen, but turn off the detection of the errors in the Verbosity Menu. With Lotus Symphony, the Verbosity Menu doesn't have this option. If you don't want to hear JFW say Misspelled, you may just have to uncheck the Show Spelling Errors choice in the Tools Menu of the Lotus Symphony word processor. I've always found it more efficient to continue typing my document, not worrying about the spelling until the end. I then do my spell checking all at once with F7. Should I mention this to FS? I also took another check with the command Jaws key V to see if there was a feture that I could turn off in there temporally but no luck there either. Look forward to hearing your advice. It's entirely possible that this feature is not part of the JFW scripts for Lotus. Have you checked the actual application itself to see if there are any option settings you might be able to change. What do I need to do hear? It would be great if you could explore this as well to see if I have over looked anything. Should be under editing options. Don't know if this is available with IBM Lotus. I have now done this. But I hit another snag. What it is when jaws encounters a mis-spelt word it says "mis-spelt" or something like that. I was wondering is there a way I can turn this off in jaws? Because when I tryed out NVDA that didn't detect the "mis-spelt word" and it can get really annoying! I mean I know when I have mis-spelt something! LOL Jaws doesn't need to say it for me. What it is I am wanting this programme to do is like you know when you misspell a word in office (whatever version you are using) for the purpose of this I am using Office 2007. When I don't get a spelling right I like to go back to the indevidual word when I am spell checking my document and hit the application key and you are given a list of sergestions to choese from and in turn hopefully correct it. So what I am saying is this feature avadable in the IBM Lotus Symphony programmes? Is there somewhere where I have to enable it? Look forward to hearing your replys. Thanks Daniel
