I just checked, and that checkbox was cleared... it's okay, I guess it's just a problem that I'm going to have to deal with.

Patricia, I really don't have an asnwer. The only thing I can suggest is
something I heard somebody say on another list and it seemed to help the
person with the question.
This is in word:
1. From the Tools menu, choose Options.
2. Press CTRL+TAB until you switch to the General tab in the Options
dialog box.
3. Move to and clear the Allow Starting in Reading Layout check box.
4. Press ENTER to close the Options dialog box and return to the
document.
Since you use word as your editor in outlook, perhaps it will help both?
One thing you can use alt N to get to that checkbox quickly, but that will
toggle the status of the checkbox, so make sure it is unchecked.

has anyone else had this problem? when I am in a document in Word, or an
e-mail message in Outlook for that mattter, after sometime JAWS loses
focus
and just says "blank" in a message or document and in order to fix it I
have
to go into the view menu and make sure it is set to normal or print even,
whichever view isn't checked I select. it's been going on for quite awhile
now and it's *reeeeeally* annoying. has anyone else had this problem? it's
Word and Outlook 2003.
