Hi, it's absolutely fine. Yes the interface is a learning curve but on the whole both installation and usage should go smoothly for you. -- Chris Hallsworth e-mail: christopherh40@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx MSN: ch9675@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: chrishallsworth7266 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gerald Levy" <bwaylimited@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, April 07, 2009 6:34 PM Subject: Re: a good antivirus program that is Jaws friendly Chris, Are you using the 8.5 version of AVG Internet Security? I'm still running 7.5 Network Edition which is basically the same as Internet Security edition but without the firewall, and have resisted upgrading to 8.0 and 8.5 because of all the JAWS compatibility problems that people complained about months ago. Are there any installation issues with AVG 8.5, or will JAWS run smoothly with it right out of the box? Is the AVG 8.5 interface significantly different than the 7.5 interface? My AVG user interface now has a button labeled "Upgrade to AVG 8.5", so I'll probably have to upgrade sooner or later. The AVG web site implies that support for 7.5 will not continue after April 30, but I want to be very cautious before I go ahead and install 8.5, so that I don't wind up with a big mess.
