I have that problem sometimes too. I find if you just wait a while, it does eventually come up but it's just a matter of waiting for it to come up. I get that mostly when opening the configuration manager.

Subject: a focus problem

Hi all
I think this is a jfw related problem because thus far it only happens when
using the dictionary manager.
This happens on my computer at work, there I'm using jfw 8 and windows xp
sp 2.
Sometimes it happens that if I press insert+d for the dictionary manager the
application I was in before pressing insert+d is still active.
For example I'm on the site where I'm performing customer satisfaction
surveys, so now I want to go to the dictionary manager, so I press insert+d.
jaws is suppose to say: internet explorer.jdf jaws dictionary manager, but
sometimes it doesn't.
It says nothing when I press insert+d and when I press insert+t I hear that
I'M still in internet explorer not in the dictionary manager.
So if I alt+tab then I am in the dictionary manager, this is somewhat
annoying although it happens only sometimes.
Can anyone explain why this happens? Does it happen with other programs as
well?
In other words, the dictionary manager program is running but it immediately
looses focus the moment I invoke the command to run it.
